The international charitable organization “Roma Women’s Fund ‘Chirikli'” in collaboration with the European Centre for Minority Issues (ECMI) as part of the Eastern Partnership program with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Denmark has initiated a seminar on Roma mediation. The seminar involves Roma mediators from Moldova, Belarus, and Ukraine. The program spans three working days and aims to facilitate the exchange of experience among Roma mediators from the aforementioned countries.
Key sessions being covered include:
1. Intercultural Mediation
2. Mediation in Roma communities, stages of work for a Roma mediator
3. Strengthening trust and consensus
4. Planning the mediator’s work and interaction with governmental institutions
5. Presentation of the situation with Roma mediators from the three countries (Belarus, Moldova, Ukraine)
6. Understanding “discrimination,” its types and manifestations, “Roma-phobia.”
