On April 22–23, the first meeting of the “Dream and Act” training series took place in Uzhhorod, aimed at supporting Roma women who aspire to start their own businesses and confidently grow in entrepreneurship.
25 participants underwent intensive training covering the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, including:
Beyond theory, the participants were inspired by the story of a successful practicing entrepreneur and engaged in practical sessions where they developed and presented their own business plans.
The outcomes of the training included motivation, new knowledge, confidence, and deep gratitude. For the Roma Women’s Fund “Chirikli”, it is especially important that more Roma women gain opportunities for employment and starting their own businesses.
The event was implemented within the framework of the project “Empowerment and Support to internally displaced Roma in Transcarpathia” with the support of the German organizations SODI and Aktion Deutschland Hilft, as well as the Finnish partner Diakonissalaitos within the project “Power of Roma Women.”
Every initiative is another step toward expanding opportunities, achieving self-realization, and building success stories among Roma women in Ukraine!
