We publish the Annual Report of the Roma Women’s Foundation “Chirikli” for 2025. The document summarizes the Foundation’s key results and impact, reflecting its work at the community level combined with national and international advocacy aimed at promoting dignity, human rights, gender equality, and systemic change.
Key highlights of the 2025 report
In 2025, the Foundation focused on ensuring access to education and social services for Roma children and adolescents, providing humanitarian support to vulnerable families and internally displaced persons, restoring documents and offering legal assistance, conducting systematic advocacy at the national and international levels, and expanding the participation of Roma women in decision-making processes.
According to the report, during the year:
• approximately 2,500 people received shelter and/or medical assistance.
• approximately 50,000 women and children were reached through social and educational programmes.
• approximately 600 individuals restored their personal documents.
• approximately 120 advocacy and awareness-raising activities were carried out.
The report emphasizes that sustainable impact is achieved through continuous work at the community level, particularly via the network of Roma mediators. Their role enables the transformation of individual cases into data and analysis used to inform advocacy and policy engagement.
