On May 30, a renewed roller skating ground was officially opened at 62/b Krymska Street (Building A) in Odesa — a modern sports facility that will now serve as a space for youth recreation and activity.
This project became a reality thanks to the joint efforts of the community, local government, and businesses. We express special gratitude to Mayor of Odesa Hennadii Trukhanov and PJSC “MTB BANK” for their financial and organizational support.
The International Charitable Organization Roma Women Fund “Chirikli” played a key role in the process. Our team coordinated stages of construction, sought contractors, contributed to fundraising, and worked closely with partners to make the project a reality.
Our thanks go out to every donor, volunteer, and supporter who helped spread the word — you are part of this success.
The new skating ground is located next to Lyceum No.13, which educates over 2,000 children. Around 10% of the students are members of the Roma community and other ethnic minorities.
“Now they have a safe space not only to engage in sports, but also to build community, make friends, and overcome barriers. Sport is a language of mutual understanding that unites beyond origin.”
Fedor Kondur, representative of “Chirikli”
The space is open. The fundraising is complete. But our work doesn’t stop here!
