In June 2014, the Darnytskyi District State Administration in Kyiv joined the international project “ROMED 2,” which is aimed at the integration of Roma communities, becoming one of the six pilot regional participants from Ukraine.
On November 21st, as part of this project, the head of the Darnytskyi District State Administration, Gennadiy Lvovich Sintsow, received a visit from Marcus Andrade, the project manager of “ROMED 2” from the Council of Europe, and Zemfira Kondur, the coordinator for Roma issues from the Council of Europe in Ukraine.
During the meeting, the Council of Europe representatives acknowledged the efforts of the structural divisions of the Darnytskyi District State Administration, commended the personal commitment of the head of the administration towards addressing Roma issues, and discussed further collaboration within the framework of the project.
