The Chirikli Foundation joined the coordination of civil society organizations in the field of the rule of law

On July 30, 2025, the Roma Women Fund “Chirikli” took part in the first coordination meeting of civil society organizations on the implementation of the Rule of Law Roadmap.

Participants discussed models for civil society collaboration, mechanisms for donor coordination, and opportunities for practical engagement in workshops and thematic events. “Chirikli” plans to actively represent the interests of the Roma community, national minorities and promote an anti-discrimination agenda.

For us, the principles of the rule of law are not just abstract values but a part of our everyday work to ensure equal access to justice for everyone. This is especially critical for those often left behind: Roma people, residents of isolated communities, and women from vulnerable groups.

We believe that a genuine rule of law is reflected in essential but practical things like free legal aid, accessible legal information, effective appeals mechanisms, and the support of intermediaries, mediators, and community leaders.

We are grateful to our international partners for including us in these important processes. Only together through collaboration between the state, donors, and civil society—can we build a Ukraine where human rights are not just a declaration but a reality.
