The Roma Women’s Foundation “Chirikli” continues to support Roma women in matters of reproductive health by ensuring access to medical examinations, educational programs, and consultations.
Vera, who is 60 years old, shared that she had not visited a gynecologist for more than 25 years. After attending an event dedicated to women’s health, she learned how important it is to regularly monitor her health, underwent medical examinations, and received valuable information for her well-being.
Access to Information and Support
Together with other women from Uzhhorod and Mukachevo, participants took part in medical checkups and training sessions where they learned about contraception methods, health care, and family planning.
“Support is essential for women,” participants noted, highlighting the value of safe spaces for learning and receiving professional advice.
Women’s Health as the Foundation of Strong Communities
Caring for women’s health is important at any age. Access to information, preventive care, and consultations contributes not only to individual well-being but also to the health of families and entire communities.
