Since February 2022, around 100,000 Roma have been seeking refuge from the war in Ukraine in EU countries.

Social workers in European Union countries are striving to establish effective communication with Roma refugees.

Based on the questions we have received from social workers and our experience working with social structures since 2011 (ROMED training, educational course for Dragomanov University, Social Mediation Standard), we have prepared Guidelines that can help establish communication with Roma refugees in host countries.

The Guidelines have been translated into five languages, and we hope they will be useful.
