In April 2024, as a result of Russian airstrikes on Odesa, many civilians lost their lives, and numerous children were orphaned. These tragic events were a great challenge for the country, leaving children without parental support and care. The Roma Women’s Fund “Chirikli,” along with Ukrainian and international partners, actively joined efforts to provide essential humanitarian aid to those most affected by this tragedy.
Thanks to the combined efforts of concerned Ukrainians and the support of the international community, funds and resources were gathered to help orphaned children. The fund’s charity campaigns focused on providing the children with basic needs: food, clothing, medicine, and school supplies. This aid became a small ray of hope for those who had lost everything.
This humanitarian aid would not have been possible without the active participation of Ukrainians, who responded to the fund’s charity campaigns. Every contribution – whether in money or goods – played a crucial role in supporting the children who found themselves in a difficult situation. Every donation and item became a symbol of support and solidarity during these tough times for our country.

Their financial support demonstrates that the international community does not stand aside but continues to support Ukraine during these challenging times. Together, these joint efforts organized effective assistance for those most in need.
