The Roma Radio “Chiriklo” resumes its activities in cooperation with Hromadske Radio. Together, we continue to make the voice of the Roma community more visible – in both Ukrainian and Romani languages.

Listen to the new season of the podcast “And This Is About Us” and stay tuned for updates. These are honest conversations without stereotypes or romanticization about:

• the history of the Roma people’s origin;
• the endangered Romani language;
• the contribution of Roma to Ukrainian and world cultures;
• the roots of discrimination and hate speech against Roma communities.

First episode

In the first episode, listeners will discover little-known and fascinating facts about the life of Roma on the territory of modern Ukraine, starting from the 15th century. Host – Victoria Yermolaieva, Editor-in-Chief of Hromadske Radio.
