On April 6th, the NGO “Chiricli” and the regional Romani association “Romani Zbora” held a press conference in honor of International Romani Day. The press conference was attended by representatives of the Odessa Regional Administration and Romani mediators.
During the event, the second volume of the book by M. Bezonov titled “Cyganska Tragediya 1941-1945 rokiv” (Gypsy Tragedy of 1941-1945) was presented. This volume is titled “Ozbroena Vidsich” (Armed Resistance) and sheds light on lesser-known facts about the participation of Romani people in combat actions, their courage, and heroism. Several copies of the book were gifted to representatives of the Odessa Regional Administration. On April 8th, an exhibition dedicated to the victims of the Holocaust was presented at the “Sakartvelo” center. Representatives of various national minorities, public organizations, and the regional administration were invited to the opening of the exhibition.
