On June 26, 2015, a meeting took place at the Kharkiv Regional Center for Social Services for Family, Children, and Youth. The meeting was attended by the Deputy Head of the Kharkiv Regional Office of the State Social Service for Family, Children, and Youth (HОSSSDMY), N. Vartsabyuk, the Chief of the Department for Methodological Support of Social Work L. Liverts, the Vice-President of the NGO “Chirikli,” Z. Kondur, and Roma social-medical mediators from the Kharkiv region.
During the meeting, the following topics were discussed:
1. Tripartite cooperation between the NGO “Chirikli,” HОSSSDMY, and regional social centers.
2. Organization and conduct of training within the framework of the ROMED2 program for representatives of the regional administration (July 9-10, 2015).
3. Development of statistics by Roma social-medical mediators regarding the Roma population, identification of the most pressing issues.
4. Establishment of a working group, assessment of the needs of the Roma community, and presentation of the results at a seminar.
5. Establishment of cooperation with the Department of Mass Communication and Internal Policy of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration (HODA).
