International Youth Meeting in Berlin

Activists from the NGO “Chirikli” from Kyiv and Odessa took part in an international youth meeting in the city of Berlin, Germany. This event was organized by the NGO “Amaro Drom”.

During this event, seminars on political education, issues of cultural identity, and the expansion of women’s rights and opportunities were conducted to encourage young people to actively participate in the development of society. The results were presented on October 5th during a session attended by local politicians and community members. Working groups were held on the following topics:

1. Combating anti-Roma movement on the internet
2. Roma identity
3. Theatre workshop
4. Music workshop
5. Women’s issues
6. Expansion of rights and opportunities
7. Music workshop
8. Anti-Roma sentiment in German media.
