Today, during the #URC2024 UN Women, together with the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, announced the establishment of the Alliance for Gender Responsive and Inclusive Recovery of Ukraine.
The Alliance’s goal is to unite efforts in implementing existing and launching new initiatives aimed at introducing gender-oriented approaches into the reconstruction process, as well as promoting gender equality and women’s empowerment in Ukraine.

In her speech, Olga Stefanishyna emphasized the importance of consolidating steps together with international partners, including projects and organizations, towards a gender-sensitive and inclusive recovery of Ukraine. She also emphasized the importance of promoting women’s participation in the reconstruction process.

More than 50 representatives of different countries, organizations and structures have already joined the Alliance, including:
The Chirikli Foundation, as a member of the Alliance, is ready to work together to integrate the gender component, to ensure the effective participation of Roma women in decision-making processes at all levels regarding recovery and reconstruction. The Foundation will also contribute to identifying and addressing the priority needs of Roma women and girls.
