An exceptional Kharkiv resident, Honoured Artist of Ukraine, singer, dancer, organizer of unique Romani festivals, and guardian of culture and traditions – Lyudmyla Karafetova will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
Lyudmyla Karafetova called herself “a Romani wife and mother,” and these words reflect perfectly her role not only in her family but also in the heart of the Romani community. Her life was a celebration of art, dance, and song, bringing generations together.
She laid a strong foundation for the development of Romani culture in Kharkiv, and her legacy will live on in the talented students to whom she passed down her passion for art.
