The International Roma Women’s Fund “Chirikli” had the honour of participating in the 17th Meeting of the European Platform for Roma Inclusion, held on October 1-2 in Brussels. Representing the organization, Daniel Gromyko joined this important event, focusing on the inclusion of Roma communities in the Western Balkans, Turkey, and Moldova.
This high-level event brought together political figures from the EU, as well as representatives of national, regional, and local authorities, fund management bodies, and Roma and pro-Roma civil society.
The main topic of the meeting was “Roma Equality, Integration, and Participation in Territorial Planning and Development.” This key area of Roma policy aimed to raise awareness of current issues and challenges, discuss potential solutions, and promote the more effective use of EU funds to support Roma equality, integration, and participation.
Discussing these critical issues helps the European Platform for Roma Inclusion actively promote inclusiveness, fight discrimination, and ensure better access to resources for Roma communities across Europe.
