Aims and objectives of the National workshop

The aim of the ROMED 2 national workshop is to share the achievements and difficulties of the programs. To share the experience between the municipalities and to attract attention of the potential donors to support the local municipalities to implement the regional Roma Action Plans.

On 27 May 2015, State Darnitsa administration in the framework of the ROMED 2 program implementation conducted the Festival for national minorities “RODOVID”. The participants of the workshop were invited to attend it.

The profile of the participants

The participants of the National workshop are the members of the CAG’s, the representatives of the municipalities, the national authorities and the international organizations. 70 people attended the event.

Aims and objectives of the training for Roma youth in Ukraine

The aim of the training is to develop participants’ competences in enhancing Roma youth and participation in Ukraine and to stimulate co-operation between different actors in the youth field in Ukraine for youth policy development and implementation.

To explore the meaning of youth participation and its different forms and to discuss the ways it can be promoted and fostered.

To familiarize participants with the CoE’s approaches to youth participation and principles of youth policy development and implementation.

To promote and develop Roma youth participation in Ukraine.

To develop participants understanding of youth policy and ways of implementing youth policies at national and local levels in co-operation with the organizations, local and national institutions.

To develop personal and social competences of the participants for youth participation.

To explore possibilities for networking and planning future cooperation projects /activities between the participants and other partners.

The profile of the participants

The participants of the training will be the Roma youth activists from Roma NGOs and Roma students. In total 20 participants (from different parts of Ukraine: Odessa, Transcarpathia, Kharkiv, Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhie, Kiev). We will have male and female participants. The age of participants 17-28 years old.

The official representatives will be invited to the official opening of the training.

Partners: The CoE Youth Department, the ROMED program, the League of Interns of the Parliament of Ukraine; The Committee of the Youth and Family policy of the Parliament of Ukraine; The State Institute of the Youth and Family policy in Ukraine.
